Earth-Saving Hunter (地球救済ハンター Chikyuu Kyuusai Hantā) is the seventeenth episode of Rewrite anime adaptation, and the fourth episode of the 2nd Season. It aired on February 4, 2017.
The episode starts the adaptation of Terra Route.
Synopsis[]
The episode starts with a scene in a war zone. Kotarou and a colleague talked to each other while inside a military vehicle. Enemies attacked them, which escalated to a shooting. Kotarou was especially tense, but chose to fight using his rifle. That was the first time he killed someone.
Kotarou was a socially awkward child, and continued to be so during middle school. Meanwhile, his parents often pulled him to attend Martel's meetings, which he disliked.
Outside the hall, he meets Iko Fuku from the orphanage, who asked him to attend to a child named Akane Senri. Going back to the hall, a speaker asked for questions. His mother forced him to volunteer to asking. Annoyed, he instead pointed out to the speaker the cynicism that filled the discussions.
He was slapped by his parent, which Iko noticed when she met him again after the meeting. They continued to talk outside, where Iko agreed with the cynicism he pointed out during the meeting.
