Superhuman Qualities (超人の資質 Choujin no Shishitsu) is the eighteenth episode of Rewrite anime adaptation, and the fifth episode of the 2nd Season. It aired on February 11, 2017.
The episode continues with the adaptation of Terra Route.
Synopsis[]
Kotarou has entered high school. He chose to quit Martel slowly by attending their meetings less and less. One time, he had an informal chat with Sakura Kashima, the head of Martel. After some questions, she asked him what he would do in an unacceptable situation – whether to change oneself or the environment. A beacon of light tells Kotarou to answer "I don't know." After that, Sakura concluded that he was a "stray."
Kotarou has been hanging out with Sougen Esaka occasionally, and by their last trip, Esaka asked him to join his organization of superhumans. After some thinking, Kotarou decided to tell his parents that he would quit Martel, which erupted into an argument.
The next day, he ran away from home. While at it, he meets Kotori's family, who are about to go on a trip as a way to comfort her after Pero's death. Kotarou talks to Kotori, thanking her for encouraging him to quit Martel. Realizing that he's going to leave, she insisted to go around with him during the Harvest Festival the next time they meet, and he agrees.
The two part ways, and Kotarou heads out to train under the organization, called Guardian.
