Moon Kagari is one of the heroines in Rewrite and acts as an administrator for all the routes in the series. She is the incarnation of the Moon.

Appearance

Although she is not human, she resembles a young girl. Her hair is pale, white and short, and has violet eyes, though described by Kotarou as black. She wears a black dress with white ruffles, with a ribbon tied around both her arms. She bears resemblance to Earth's Kagari.

Personality

She is very distant from humans; being the only living thing on the moon. She is also very intelligent to the point where she speaks in a language that is too advanced for humans to understand. (The mere sound of her voice would knock a human out). In the Moon Route she is very hostile to Kotarou at first, when he makes perverted remarks to her she kills him by strangling him, slicing off his head with her ribbons, and once even by setting him on fire. Kagari warms up to Kotarou as he wears her down after being too nice to her, their relationship develops immensely but gradually throughout the story. The two dance on the moon at some point in the route, Kagari can be seen blushing as a result. After sending the omnipotent power to the Earth it is hinted that the Moon Kagari resented and held a grudge against the Earth Kagari for being on the earth which is full of life while the moon is just a cold rock devoid of life.

Arnaments

Miracle Ribbons : On her wrists are red ribbons with long strands. The ribbons are able to deflect any attack used against her and are powerful enough to knock a person unconscious. The ribbons automatically grow to protect Kagari but she can attack a person at will if she wants. When there is a serious threat that may conflict harm onto Kagari, the number of ribbons multiplies to decrease the chance of her getting hurt.

Abilities

Magma Flames: The Moon Kagari seemingly killed Kotarou once by setting him on fire.
Theory of Life: She can understand the Theory, and create simulations of the Earth through it.

Trivia

The Moon Kagari sort of plays the role of 'God' in Rewrite, as she can create parallel worlds using her Theorem.
She may have journeyed to the Earth in several of the heroine's routes
Since the Moon split from the Earth, it means that the Moon Kagari is technically the younger sister.

When Kotarou approaches her she waves her ribbons in the air to keep him away, when Kotarou speaks to her she speaks back, but her advanced language harms his ears. [[File:Kagari_researching.jpg|thumb|Kagari researching]]While Kagari is still researching, Kotarou approaches her and confesses that he just wants to be friends with her; she is almost won over by his words but he makes the mistake of calling her 'baby'. After that, each time Kotarou tries to impress her, she either cuts off his head or set him on fire. However, Kotarou's persistentness wears her down and she decides to give him a chance, by drinking some of the coffee he made. When Kotarou peaks at her theorem, its knowledge makes him almost pass out and he accidently head-butts her; Kagari decides not to kill him out of good will. The blood-lust manifests into a small black familiar, kotarou attacks the familiar but it dodges and heads for Kagari, Kagari tries to defend with her ribbons but the familiar twists its body in the air and break through her defence. Before the familiar can kill Kagari, Kotarou kicks it into a tree and stabs it with his [http://rewrite.wikia.com/wiki/Aurora aurora] blades. He takes a look at Kagari's theorem and learns that the familiar was sent by Sakura Kashima to kill Kagari in order to prevent her from causing humanity's re-birth. Over the next few days/years/centuries (Time fluctuates differently on the Moon) more familiars come; some try to kill Kagari by leading Kotarou away from her. Kotarou tells her that the only hope for her survival is to finish her theorem and states that they need to get the [http://rewrite.wikia.com/wiki/Occult_Research_Society club] back together.

Kagari speaks to Kotarou after he sets up her defence; with a look on her face that says "I've given up, I'm sorry". While she slowly grows into a tree, her defense is nearly wiped out by the shear number of familiars. Dinosaur-familiars fall down from the sky onto her, Sakuya appears and kills them with ease; he takes the responsiblity of being Kagari's air defense. When the last of the heroines are killed and a large number of familiars fall from the sky, Sakuya changes into his Final Familiar Form and dies while defending her. Kotarou shuts off his humanity and does his best to defend Kagari, but even 'he' cannot handle their large numbers. He is torn to pieces while the familiars claw at her tree-trunk, but before they are both destroyed Kagari manages to finish applying her theorem. She absorbes Kotarou and all of the familiars into the theorem and begins to send them to the Earth. Kagari thanks Kotarou for loving someone as selfish as her and sends him on his 'million-year journey'.
